Copelovitch studies international political economy and international organizations, with a focus on the politics of financial crises, global financial governance, and the political economy of international trade and exchange rates. He is the author of The International Monetary Fund in the Global Economy: Banks, Bonds, and Bailouts (Cambridge University Press, 2010), as well as articles in Comparative Political Studies, Journal of Politics, International Organization, International Studies Quarterly, and Review of International Organizations. Copelovitch is a graduate of Yale University and Harvard University, from which he earned his PhD in government in 2005. In 2013–14, he was a visiting scholar at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, Germany.

Public parking is available in the Fluno Center Garage (Lot 83) at 314 N. Frances Street. Other parking options include Lot 46 at 301 N. Lake Street and the Lake Street Ramp at 415 N. Lake Street.
