What to Expect

CamRock County Park is located in eastern Dane County along the banks of the Koshkonong Creek, between the Village of Cambridge and the historic Village of Rockdale. This 422-acre park boasts three shelters, play equipment, hiking trails, a canoe/kayak launch, cross-country ski trails, a sledding hill (near shelter #3) and prairie restorations. There are also extensive mountain bike trails which are built and maintained by volunteers. Please wear close toed shoes and dress for the weather, which is usually windy and more extreme than the surrounding area."

The Walk
The Walk is 3 miles long, on relatively flat terrain and a well maintained path.  We will point out a hilly part of the park as we walk along the creek at the base of the hills.

Our Guide
We will be led by a long time resident and owner of a local farm.  Janice has compiled stories of the Cambridge area with the thought of writing a local history.  She has a lot of interesting stories to tell.

Driving and Parking Instructions
We will meet in the parking lot in back of the Camrock Cafe and Sport, located at 217 W. Main Street, Cambridge, Wisconsin, 53523.

Lunch
We will end our walk at the RockDale Bar and Grill,  http://rockdalebarandgrill.com/
