One House Over @ Milwaukee Rep
Quadracci Powerhouse Theater
Wednesday, March 14
Join us Wednesday, March 14 for the seventh play in the PLATO 2017-2018 nine-play Milwaukee theater trip series with One House Over.
A World Premier Event
By Catherine Trieschmann
Directed by Mark Clements
A Co-Production with Geva Theatre Center
When Rafael and Camila Hernandez move in downstairs to help Joanne with her elderly father, Joanne breathes a little easier. She needs their help, and they need jobs. But she can’t anticipate the complications that arise when “the help” starts to feel like family…and act like it. A brilliantly funny and provocative new piece by one of today’s hottest playwrights, it’s an empathetic but searing examination of boundaries, power, privilege, and fear in a single backyard.
“Trieschmann…has the courage to ask tougher questions.” — Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
“Trieschmann’s writing is taut and laced with irony….a big accomplished writer’s voice.” — The New York Times
Estimated Run Time: Two hours including one intermission (1:30 PM - 3:30 PM)

.LUNCH is on your own*
Our bus will make two neighborhood lunch stops:
First, at Milwaukee Public Market for the Historic Third Ward, and
Second, at the Milwaukee Rep for downtown areas surrounding the theater.
*Group Lunch Option is available to those who want to register, but may be hesitant...not knowing anyone and uncomfortable eating alone. The group option lunch addresses this concern and is a good way to make new theater trip friends. Just answer "Yes" to Group Lunch questions on the registration form and we will take care of the rest. Restaurant to be determined.

Our first stop will be at the Milwaukee Public Market containing eight distinctive eateries.
