One House Over @ Milwaukee Rep
Quadracci Powerhouse Theater
Wednesday, March 14

Join us Wednesday, March 14 for the seventh play in the PLATO 2017-2018 nine-play Milwaukee theater trip series with One House Over.

A World Premier Event
By Catherine Trieschmann
Directed by Mark Clements
A Co-Production with Geva Theatre Center

When Rafael and Camila Hernandez move in downstairs to help Joanne with her elderly father, Joanne breathes a little easier. She needs their help, and they need jobs. But she can’t anticipate the complications that arise when “the help” starts to feel like family…and act like it. A brilliantly funny and provocative new piece by one of today’s hottest playwrights, it’s an empathetic but searing examination of boundaries, power, privilege, and fear in a single backyard.

“Trieschmann…has the courage to ask tougher questions.” — Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

“Trieschmann’s writing is taut and laced with irony….a big accomplished writer’s voice.” — The New York Times

Estimated Run Time: Two hours including one intermission (1:30 PM - 3:30 PM)

Learn more by visiting the One House Over webpage regarding the cast, video clips of cast performances, interviews & rehearsals, and all the latest news as opening day (February 27) draws near.

One House Over will be staged in the large, yet intimate Quadracci Powerhouse Theater. For information including photos about this unique theater venue, click here.

The Quadracci Powerhouse Theater is handicapped accessible. There is handrail support on each row as you descend and ascend the aisle.

Rep In-Depth:  An optional, but highly recommended, lively and informative 30-minute pre-talk which starts 45 minutes before every performance in the Quadracci Powerhouse Theater and runs from 12:45 PM to 1:15 PM. It is free and you can drop in any time during the course of the talk.

Accessibility Policy: On the Badger Bus, you must be able to climb steps to board and exit the bus. If you need assistance, we recommend that you bring a friend to give you a hand.

Guest Policy: Members must register their guests. Each PLATO member is entitled to bring one non-member guest per bus trip.
