  • February 08, 2018
  • 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM
  • Smitty's Study Pub, Fluno Center, 8th Floor, 601 University Avenue, Madison

The PLATO Theater Trips Team of Bob Blitzke, Jane Grogan, Jean Kasten, Lynne Stapleton, Nancy McClements and Tammy Albrecht welcome members of the PLATO Theater Enthusiasts Group for an evening of socializing over food and drink.

The PLATO Theater Enthusiasts now total over 500 members, which comprise those who have registered for its theater trips since 2015, and want to learn more about the PLATO Theater Trips Program including reading and discussing its upcoming plays:
  • Hard Times
  • Murder for Two
  • Black Pearl Sings
  • Guess Who's Coming to Dinner
  • Doubt
  • Jesus Christ Superstar
  • Always...Patsy Cline
  • Buried Child
  • Hamilton: An American Musical

TIP: Use the Spring 2018 Playlist Study Guide to quickly locate a copy of the play to borrow or purchase.

Each play in the list contains links to public Library resources available through the South Central Library System online public access catalog, LINKcat, and the Wisconsin Public Library Consortium's Wisconsin's Digital Library. The Amazon website links are also shown for our playlist titles.

Since many of our members may not be avid library users, we will offer some tips on making the most of your public library's shared online catalog, LINKcat, and the Research and Discovery databases available through Madison Public Library website.

Other meeting topics include a look ahead to the 2018-2019 theater trip season, Milwaukee and Chicago theater possibilities, exploring theater tours and researching other related theater activities.

Other PLATO members who want to learn more about its Theater Trips Program are also welcome to join us.

We will meeting at Smitty's Study Pub in its Mendota Room (seen at the far end in this photo), which is located on the 8th Floor of the Fluno Center at 601 University Avenue in Madison.
