PLATO Fall 2019 Open House

  • September 18, 2019
  • 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM
  • Madison Senior Center, 330 W. Mifflin Street

This event is FREE to potential members, all PLATO members, and their guests.

No registration is required.

The Fall Open House takes place on Wednesday September 18 at the Madison Senior Center. Come anytime between 1:30 and 3:00 pm to find out what PLATO is all about.

PLATO has two Open Houses – one in Spring and one in Fall. Since PLATO offers many types of activities this is the place to meet with coordinators and representatives of the various PLATO committees.

At the Fall Open House, meet the coordinators from the 50 or so courses that are offered every Fall.  Members, new members and interested Individuals can speak with coordinators about their course, receive any handouts, etc.  and get excited about the courses beginning the next week.

Special Events committee members are on hand to answer questions about current and upcoming trips, Breakfast Get-Together's, walking tours of local, county and state parks in the Dane County area, and Lectures.

Other committees with representatives are Diversity, membership, scholarship fund, as well as a representative of the membership published Agora magazine.

As you enter the Senior Center stop at the Curriculum table to pick up a course schedule. Then move about the room talking with committee and coordinators members - all are volunteers, putting Participatory Learning and Training Organization (PLATO) into action.

New members are invited to stop at the Membership and the Board table to find out more about PLATO activities and the many benefits in becoming a member.

Refreshments are hosted by the Special Events Committee and seating is available throughout the afternoon.

Volunteers keep all our activities going strong.  Please consider becoming involved.

The PLATO Open House is the place to find out what is happening in PLATO, ask any questions, and find out how all can get involved. We hope to see all of you there.

PLATO is proudly supported in part by Oakwood Village.
