Continuing our study of the interaction between science and religion, we watch how political candidates react to this issue in the run-up to the 2016 election. We watch DVD lectures by paleontologists Anthony Martin and Barbara King, UW anthropologist John Hawks and historians of science Frederick Gregory and Edward Larson. We read excerpts from Bill Nye’s Undeniable, Neil Shubin’s Your Inner Fish, Ronald Numbers’ The Creationists, and Eugene Scott’s Evolution vs. Creationism. Join us for open-minded, stimulating discussion.
To enroll, please contact the Coordinator before the first class meeting.
