We will read and discuss 2 chapters/week, one from each of the books listed below. Participants buy the books and join in discussion.

Positivity by Barbara Fredrickson– “Positive psychology pioneer Fredrickson introduces readers to the power of harnessing happiness to transform their lives, backed up by impressive lab research. The author lays out the core truths and 10 forms of positivity—joy, gratitude, serenity, interest, hope, pride, amusement, inspiration, awe and love.” (Publisher’s Weekly).

Hardwiring Happiness by Rick Hansen“… is not mere positive thinking…It’s about transforming fleeting experiences into lasting improvements in your neural net worth. It usually takes less than half a minute… half a dozen times a day…you really can gradually change your brain from the inside out.” (Amazon)
