"The mind of man is capable of anything - because everything is in it…”  We will ponder these words from Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness as we read this classic novel. We will then read another of Conrad’s works which will be selected during the first class meeting. It is important that we all use the same text as reference will regularly be made to specific page numbers. We will be using the Penguin Classics edition of Heart of Darkness with ISBN number 9780141441672. For the first class meeting please read Chapter I (pages 3- 37).
