A bewildering mass extinction in earth’s geological record occurred at the end of the Great Ice Age. This involved the mysterious disappearance of the Woolly Mammoths, and over 35 other major groups of large "megafauna.” Join me on a great journey of discovery as we travel to a "lost world" when the Mammoths, saber-toothed cats, and dire wolves reigned supreme! A class field trip to the Chicago Field Museum of Natural History, and a teleconference with the world-famous La Brea Tar Pits staff may be offered.
