Each semester we read aloud and discuss 3 or 4 plays. A brief background of each play and playwright is presented by a volunteer from the group, who also leads the discussion and assigns roles. Inasmuch as we must purchase the scripts, there is a cost for materials. This semester, however, the cost will be minimal because we previously purchased 3 of the 4 scripts: A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare, Paradise Lost by Clifford Odets, A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansbury, and Pygmalion by George B. Shaw.
