The Course will explore the events and currents that came together to changes the directions in this country and the rest of the world; many that continue to the present.  The objectives will be to consider the significance of the events and how history was changed, and to consider how and what the differences might have been if certain events had not occurred.  For most of the weeks during the semester we will read articles that will be made available on line.
