In this course we will explore a different scientific topic each week – ranging from DNA sequencing (what can you learn from those spit tests?), to bacteria (both friend and foe), to nutritional supplements (what can we trust on a label?), and more.

We will hear wacky stories from science history and hear from young researchers about what they do on campus today.

By the end of the semester, you will emerge with a science-savvy citizen knowledge you can carry with you into the community
