Course Description

Virtual meetings to discuss a film, selected from TCM programs offered the previous week. People who register will be sent a notice inviting them to join a meeting by clicking a button to access the Google Meet site. We need to generate an email list so that we can keep you up to date, including time or times of the TCM screening.

Exploring Creativity

Course Description

Class will be a workshop where individuals work on their personal art goals in a sharing environment. Participants can exchange knowledge and offer gentle feedback to each other if they want to. Bring the supplies you will need for your own project. Everyone must bring a plastic or similar material sheet or tarp to put under their workspace. We are fortunate to be invited to use the space and therefore this requirement is a must. Also, the church requires that anyone entering the church MUST WEAR A MASK.

Course Description

We will read a detective story a week and in the following order:

Jan. 27 “The Snack Thief” Andrea Camilleri (Detective Salvo Montalbano)
Feb. 3 “The Speckled Band” Arthur Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes)
Feb. 10 “Borkman’s Point” Hakan Nesser (Inspector Van Veeteren)

At our weekly meeting, we'll watch a video based on the assigned book followed by a discussion of the methods of detection used and the clues uncovered that led to the solution of the case(s).
