Classic Films II
Our popular virtual Classic Films course continues to have a long waiting list, so the PLATO Curriculum Committee would like to start a second course on this popular topic. Course participants discuss the history and social relevance of the films, and learn about film techniques, cinematography, and the resumes of the directors and actors. If you have an interest in classic films and filmmaking, please consider leading a class. You would determine the structure and content, and PLATO has resources for assisting new coordinators. Classes could be in-person, on-line or hybrid. If you are interested in coordinating or co-coordinating a class like this, please email Kathy Brown at kathytft@charter.net.
Criminal Justice
Have an interest in criminal justice/mass incarceration? The PLATO Diversity Awareness Committee believes that a class that examines the workings and consequences of crime and punishment in the U.S. and Wisconsin would be a welcome addition to our curriculum. We are, therefore, looking for a coordinator (leader) for such a class. The structure and content would be determined by the coordinator and PLATO has resources for assisting new coordinators. Class could be in-person, on-line or hybrid. If you are interested in coordinating or co-coordinating a class like this, please email MaryJo MacSwain at mjmacwi@earthlink.net.
