DID YOU KNOW? for September 17 – 30, 2024

The western hemisphere, the lands between the Atlantic and the Pacific, have been occupied and cultivated from coast to coast for millennia. Ned Blackhawk has documented the stories of these indigenous citizens in The Rediscovery of America: Native Peoples and the Unmaking of U.S. History. Blackhawk has produced a comprehensive history that carefully presents the facts of indigenous people living on the North American continent before contact with European settlers.

Visit the Social Justice page for more about Ned Blackhawk and past DID YOU KNOW? Features.

DID YOU KNOW? – spotlighting notable historic events and contributions made by non-mainstream individuals and organizations you might not have learned or read about. Suggestions for inclusions are welcome (send to Kathy at: ksmichaelis@gmail.com).
