Registration Deadline February 15

The Beatles meet the Bard in this rollicking, celebratory musical take on William Shakespeare’s As You Like It. It’s 1960s British Columbia and love is in the air as a handful of cross-dressing lovers lead to mistaken identities, hilarious mishaps and loads of laughs. Interwoven into Shakespeare’s classic romantic comedy, the production features over 20 Beatles songs performed live including “She Loves You," “I Want to Hold Your Hand” and “Let It Be.” Audiences will be rolling with laughter and singing along to some of the best songs ever written.  More information from the show's website.

As You Like It will be staged in the large, yet intimate Quadracci Powerhouse Theater.  For information including photos about this unique theater venue, click here.

Social Distancing will not be available on the bus, at lunch or in the theater.

NEW THIS YEAR: Please be aware we have a new Eastside bus pick-up location:  Oakwood Prairie Ridge, 5565 Tancho Drive, Madison.

Directions to the Quadracci Powerhouse Theater:   From the Milwaukee Rep’s Wells Street entrance, walk straight ahead under the atrium dome.  The Quadracci Theater is located on the Mezzanine Level.  Take the elevator or walk up the white marble stairway.  From the Mezzanine Level elevator exit, walk around to the right into the Powerhouse Theater entrance.

The Quadracci Powerhouse Theater is handicapped accessible.  There is handrail support on each row as you descend and ascend the aisle.

Accessibility Policy:   On the bus, you must be able to climb steps to board and exit the bus.  If you need assistance, we require that you bring a friend to give you a hand.

Pre-Show Entertainment:  Optional, but highly recommended by Broadway World Milwaukee. "As You Like It begins with a pre-show -- something I wish I had known, so consider this your heads-up! You'll want to get to the theater early so you can take in the wrestling action ... and a couple of bonus Beatles songs. Chaotic and unexpected, you're immediately thrust into the world of the play as you take your seat. The center-stage wrestling ring is framed with color-changing panels of light." The pre-show is free. It starts at 1:00 PM, but you can enter at any time. Read the entire Broadway World review.

Free Time: Lunch & Shopping: From 11:00 am - 12:30 pm there will be free time for lunch, shopping, and exploring.  LUNCH is on your own, but there is a Group Lunch Option  to those who want to register, but may be hesitant...not knowing anyone and uncomfortable eating alone.  The group option lunch addresses this concern and is a good way to make new theater trip friends.  Just answer "Yes" to Group Lunch questions on the registration form and we will take care of the rest.  Please note that the cost of lunch is separate and as such is not included in your registration fee.

Our Group Lunch is at Onesta.  Italian for “honest,” Onesto puts a modern twist on Italian cuisine that’s fresh and flavorful.  Located in the heart of the Historic Third Ward, Onesta's elegant service and a unique menu that has been frequently named among the best Italian in Milwaukee.  We will be in the intimate second-floor event space, a warm and inviting urban loft.  There is no elevator to our dining room so diners must be able to use the stairs.  Each diner is responsible for their own dining costs. We will be emailing registrants to find out your meal choice. We have a large group and that is necessary to save time. Again lunch is not included in your registration.

Milwaukee Public Market

Our bus will also drop-off and pick-up at the Milwaukee Public Market for lunch alternatives.  There are  nine unique eateries  contained within the Milwaukee Public Market.   There are also many nearby Third Ward restaurants from which to choose.

Historic Third Ward Official Restaurant List - Check to see if they are open.

Historic Third Ward Official Shopping List - Check to see if they are open.

There are also a number of restaurants within easy walking distance of the Milwaukee Rep located on both sides of the Milwaukee River and between the Milwaukee Public Market and the Milwaukee Rep.  Again, check to see if they will be open.  Many restaurants are limiting hours due to Covid.

Eastsiders:  Please be aware we have a new Eastside bus pick-up location:  Oakwood Prairie Ridge, 5565 Tancho Drive, Madison.  Park anywhere other than the 'Visitor' posted spaces.

Please arrive early at your boarding stop so you don’t miss the bus.  When everyone is aboard and seated, we leave.  Arrive early and we will all arrive in Milwaukee on time to begin our adventure.
