During this course there will be weekly discussions of military strategies and tactics of Civil War battles from First Manassas July 1861 to Appomattox Court House April 1865. I use battlefield maps to discuss Union and Southern Strategies and Tactics complete with actual troop movements and formations at the beginning and end of major battles during the war.
