Volunteer

Virtually everything that you enjoy about PLATO – courses, lectures, trips, publications – is available solely because of the efforts of members like you. Whatever your skills, there is a place for you as a PLATO volunteer!

Is there a subject or topic that you want to share with others? If so, become a Course Coordinator.

Do you have administrative skills? If so, you could provide support to office operations.

Does working with others to accomplish a goal appeal to you? If so, consider joining one of our committees:

• Do you want to help make interesting courses available to other learners? If so, the Curriculum Committee would be a good choice for you.
• Is the planning and organizing of trips, lectures, and other special events your forte? Then consider joining the Special Events Committee.
  
• If you like to write, or develop marketing and communication projects, the Membership & Communication Committee would be a good choice. Likewise, if you are interested in introducing others to the benefits of PLATO or promoting volunteerism from within!
• Are you a creator – an artist, writer or photographer? Submit your favorite pieces to The Agora. And if you’re interested in publishing a literary journal, contribute your gifts to the The Agora Editorial Board.
• If you’re experienced or interested in fundraising, the Fund Development Committee has a place for you.
  
• The Technology Committee is looking for people interested in researching, evaluating, and recommending new technologies for use in PLATO.  Members assist other committees in the adoption and use of online tools like Google Apps, Google Analytics, SurveyMonkey, social media and other web-based services.
