In February, our first program, Read More <=> Be More, of the series, Amazing Features of the Madison Public Library, focused upon personal reading and the library resources to assist readers.

Our second program, we focus upon the research needs of members taking PLATO Courses.

The PLATO Fall Semester is about to begin and the excitement is building. With over 40 courses to choose from, there will be a topic of interest to many in our growing membership now approaching 1,100.

The Madison Public Library website can place you in direct contact with

1. LINKcat - the consolidated library materials holdings of 44 area public libraries? With a LINKcat search, you can locate, select, and deliver library materials from any of the LINK libraries for pickup at your local library. (See LINKcat Libraries Map)

2. Dozens of online databases with links to hundreds of relevant subject websites that will enhance your PLATO course learning experience.

3. You can access nearly all of this from your home computer, smartphone, tablet or have complete access within your local library

Program Speaker: Tana Elias, Madison Public Library Digital Services & Marketing Manager will focus upon using MPL Resources so you get more out of your PLATO  Courses.

Presentation Overview:

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM:  Welcome, Linkcat searching and Reader's Advisory Databases
