Keynote Speaker
Our featured speaker is Patty Loew, PhD, professor, Department of Life Sciences Communication at UW-Madison and affiliated faculty with the American Indian Studies Program. Professor Loew is an enrolled member of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe and a recipient of the Outstanding Service Award of the Great Lakes Intertribal Council. She is author of the bestseller, Indian Nations of Wisconsin: Histories of Endurance and Renewal. Many of us know her from her twenty years hosting statewide news and public affairs, and her award-winning documentaries for Wisconsin Public Television. Her Keynote topic will be: “Indian Nations of Wisconsin.”
